650 Seniors to Graduate - May 1966 Campus Corral

     Approximately 650 high school seniors will walk across the temporary stage in San Angelo Public School Stadium in their last official act next Tuesday night.
     The program is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”  This processional will be played by the Bobcat Band under the direction of Mr. Homer Anderson.
     Invocation will be presented by Tom McGregor, outgoing president of the Student Council.  The scripture reading for the occasion will be Deuteronomy 30: 15-16 and 19.  Guy McBurnett, president of the senior class, will read the text of the scripture.
     Main address will be given by the Rev. Dr. John Donaho of the First Methodist Church here.   “As Big As We Make It” is the announced title of the talk.
     The graduating class will be recognized and presented by Principal Minton White, and Superintendent of School G. B. Wadzeck will hand out diplomas.  Vice-president George S. Faulkner is in charge of special awards.  These will include presentation of valedictorian and salutatorian.
     Students who will have received scholarships this year will have them announced during exercises Tuesday.  The scholarship and its amount will be called out along with the recipient’s name during the roll call of the candidates.
     The program will close with the CHS alma mater.
     Last year, 712 students crossed the stage.  A total of 559 made the walk in l964 and 464 in l963.
