It is hard to believe it has been 50 years since we graduated. I still think of myself as young. Maybe I'm just young at heart. It's so hard to paraphrase 50 years in just a few words, but here goes. I met my husband (Don) in December '66 and married after he returned from Viet Nam in September '68. Our daughter, Erin (40), lives in Charlotte, NC and son, Neil (35), lives in Asheville, NC. Both are married, but no grandchildren yet --still hopeful. We are considered the gypsies in the family having moved 16 times in 48 years to eight states. We lived in Missouri, Kansas, Indiana, North Carolina (twice), South Carolina and Tennessee (twice). Several of the moves were work related. Both Don and I retired from Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America). Don retired with 33 years and I retired with 30 years. I am currently in my ninth year of consulting with Alcoa doing the same job that I retired from so can't really say that I'm retired yet. Don and I both love to sing and travel and have been fortunate to do both with the Knoxville Choral Society. Every other summer a smaller group from the Choral Society goes on singing tours. Our adventures have taken us to the Eastern Bloc, Germany, Austria, Holy Land, Italy, Ireland, Belgium and France. We still do a fair amount of traveling between Missouri and Texas. I still have family in San Angelo and Abilene so we do visit several times a year. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up with so many of you.
