Gosh 40 years! Have I gotten that old? Life just seems to speed by. I married in 1972 and moved to Austin so my husband could finish college at UT. We moved to the country outside of Austin in 1980. Once we divorced I stayed in Cedar Creek. Too many animals to move.....
I 1991 I bought a hot air balloon and started a little hot air balloon ride business. That has been so much fun and has really filled my life. In December we will ship the balloon to Leon, Mexico for a festival there.
In 2003 I retired from the Department of Information Services with over 28 years of service. Then did contract work for a year.
In 2005 my cousin Jean and I had the opportunity to buy an old sugar plantation home in Raceland, La. I don't know what we were thinking. Since all my relatives live in Louisiana, I decided to make the move. It has been one project after the other since then. Hurricane Katrina didn't help. We almost have all the damage repaired.
I love to travel and try to do at least one big trip a year.
If you are ever on your way to New Orleans stop by.
I can hardly wait for the reunion.
