After SACHS, I moved to the DFW area & then moved to Los Angeles with my job. Traveled a LOT with my job, but when we got married, I decided to stay put in one place so I went to work for MGM Records. Big change, and just wasn't my thing, so I went to work in oversight management for an international aerospace firm in L.A. & loved it.
Ultimately, we didn't want to raise our youngsters in CA, so we headed back TX way & ended up in Southlake (Yea Carroll Dragons!) where we hosted foreign exchange students from Sweden & Italy when our kids were in high school. Our two both got their undergrad degrees at the University of Notre Dame so we're BIG "Fightin' Irish" fans. Son is a partner in an IP law firm in San Francisco & daughter is Chief Performance Officer for the City of Austin.
I served 2 terms on the Southlake City Council including 3 yrs. as Mayor Pro-Tem & was the Exec. Director of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce until '93 when I "thought" I retired... then got talked into running the Texas Sister Cities program for a couple of years before finally hanging up the heels & retiring for real.
Even though Southlake is "home base", I/we spend over half the year in the Colorado mountains (Winter Park) & on the Big Island of Hawai'i ('Anaeho'omalu Bay).
