I still call San Angelo home. After graduating from Angelo State University in 1970, I married and began my teaching career in San Angelo. I later returned to Angelo State and earned my master's degree while continuing to teach. We did move away from San Angelo in the 70's for a 7 year period but came back here to raise our kids. I retired from teaching two years ago after 34 years as an elementary teacher. It is hard to believe that I was shaping the leaders of tomorrow.....I promise I did the best I could with what they sent me. :-) I now work part time at Howard College as the Chief Examiner of the GED testing program. It keeps me out of the mall and gives me a little gambling money. Oh yes, did I mention I love to go to Las Vegas!!
My life has been blessed. I have been married for 33 years and have 2 children, a son, who is 29 and a daughter, who is 26. Both of our children are happily married. We have one grandson, Tayte, who will be 2 years old in November. Everything said about grandchildren is absolutely true......I love being "Grammy"! What a gift!!!
I have so many fond memories of CHS and the people. Life was so simple then....we just didn't know it. Even though our lives have taken us in different directions, I still hold the memories and friendships close because they are special and will always be an important part of my life. Here's to the next 40 years!!
