Dear Classmates,
Sometimes it seems like yesterday when we were roaming the halls of Central. However, reality says that it won't be long before we celebrate our 50th reunion.
I am currently working on a project for our 50th. I am trying to compile pictures of San Angelo and of our school days that were taken in the 50s and 60s. I am interested in pictures that include the places we knew and loved such as Neff's, the miniature golf courses on the river, drive-in movies, etc. I would also love to have pictures of us: class pictures from our elementary days, group pictures from jr. high and high school such as band or orchestra or sports or Tri Hi Y, and pictures of "hanging with friends."
If you (or someone you know) have photos from those decades that you would be willing to share, I would be very appreciative. I am discovering that photos of the places of our childhood and youth are few and far between.
I can use the digital files of scanned photos or will be happy to scan the actual prints. If you scan them, it will work best for my purposes if they are scanned at 300 dpi and at least 1800 X 1200. Larger is fine, too, and smaller will work if that is what you have. The larger files just give me more "wiggle room." I will most definitely appreciate anything you are willing to share. Please feel free to watermark them if you would like to.

There is currently a Facebook group called "San Angelo -- 50s and 60s Style" to which several classmates belong. We have a great time sharing pictures and memories in the group. We would love for you to join us! I can also grab pictures that are posted to the group.
There is another Facebook group called "San Angelo Central High Classes of 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969." It is small and not very active at the present, but it has potential.
